Pros

Well balanced across all areas

Cons

As it’s well balanced, growth is slightly stunted as compared to potentially other fast paced companies - it’s a personality / career choice

Pros

- decent pay (but static) - good work/life balance - knowledgeable colleagues compared to some other banks in finance/risk roles

Cons

-too many MDs who run the place like mafia/gangs with some people getting preferential treatment - Too many project manager/change people with no domain knowledge- just moving information from one place to another - no promotions based on skills but rather other agendas such as gender-based, etc - MDs & Directors keep all the information to themselves to wield power over other employees - no clear plan on projects and too many IT support people with "Strat" titles who don't deliver much - probably intentional to keep their jobs

Pros

Stability and Benefits: Deutsche Bank offers strong job security, competitive compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package—including pension schemes, paid leave, and health insurance. Most teams also respect work-life balance, particularly in tech roles. Global Team Collaboration: You’ll be part of a truly international team, often collaborating with colleagues across Europe, India, and North America. This brings diversity in thought and a broader understanding of global enterprise challenges.

Cons

Slow Promotion Process: Career progression tends to be slow. It typically takes several years to get promoted, even if your performance is strong. The promotion process is formal and requires consistent delivery, visibility, and often managerial support. Conservative Tech Adoption: The tech stack is improving, but Deutsche Bank understandably prioritizes stability and compliance over experimentation. This can limit your ability to work with the latest libraries or frontend paradigms unless you’re on one of the newer teams.
