Pros
In Asia you get much wider exposure to different areas of the bank as well as diversity of initiatives compared to other banks. Its a profitable bank (compared to a few others on the street) and one can reasonable monetary payoff at the end of the year Lots of opportunity to improve and better processes and systems, so a very fertile ground for learning and delivery self-satisfaction.
Cons
Organization culture marked by distinct lack of ownership- people only interested in pushing the ball into someone else's court. Multiple layers of dead-wood at Director level- who offer nothing in terms of execution or strategy but are only there to "track" progress, Very little empowerment specially in Asia, senior management tries to control/micro-manage and key decisions taken globally without any consideration of regional views.
