Pros

It's a large institution that seems to be well lead. The intentions seem to be good

Cons

Previous year's shortcuts have put the bank behind the bank in technology. The size of the bank makes for silos that make it hard to understand everything that's going on. There is an emphasis on off shoring as a solution. This might not work in all cases, but it's hard to make that case to senior management

Pros

As a bulge bracket bank with a truly global scope, Deutsche Bank is able to compete for high-profile investment banking transactions. The firm is extremely generous with its holiday/compensation packages.

Cons

Lack of clarity, on the part of senior management, on the firm's strategy. Promotion guidelines seemed rather arbitrary, and crystallized as a source of discontent amongst employees.
