Pros

good access to deal flow, for an enormous place there was good access to senior management, in Europe the prestige of working for a bulge bracket firm which opened doors to new opportunities

Cons

total disregard for employees and on the markets side no differentiation between Analysts or Associates. Terrible bonuses this year across the board, but esp in Markets. My peer group was roughly 100% better in the states than my desk was paid. Highly competitive environment where internal groups constantly fight with each other over pay and deals, very little teamwork.

Pros

Good benefits, company is well known and looks good on a resume, exposure to the makeup of a large bank, ability to move overseas if desired for a 2-3 year assignment.

Cons

No growth potential, salaries are below market rate, senior management does not treat employees appropriately, people are not inspired by senior management, work is being offshored to India to cut costs.
