Pros

It's a quality operation. The people are generally first-rate, HR functions properly, pay and benefits are good. If you need something you can generally get it.

Cons

As with any bank there are politics to contend with. Compared to many other banks, though, it's got a real emphasis on scrappy meritocracy.

Pros

Great pay, stable company, has performed relatively well in the global crisis. High caliber people. Deutsche Bank treats its people well and is committed to providing work-life balance, where possible.

Cons

Stodgy German culture, difficult to make changes, global nature of the firm sometimes difficult to negotiate. Management are under enormous pressure to cut costs, and mange one quarter at a time, making long term investment in infrastructure difficult. Good people are let go to cut costs and then have to be replaced at a later date.
