Pros

Stable Company that does not take that many risks. You can be assured that there is alot of job stability compared to other large banks during these times.

Cons

Just as with any other bank...fixed income is in the garbage everywhere in the world. You really can't do anything about that right now. Promotions and raises only happen once during the year. You get stuck being promoted but not really until they come around and do the adjustment.

Pros

DB is a relatively young company in the Americas and is still growing, and has an atmosphere that encourages free thinking and innovation. Management is very willing to communicate with interns (not sure about analysts/associates) as is everyone else at the firm. People seem very congenial overall. Training program is pretty good.

Cons

Not all the people are completely competent. Some seem to have been hired due to connections. Also there is a fair amount of corporate bureaucracy, as is to be expected at a firm this size.

Pros

Stable, high salaries, fast-paced. It is a large company so lots of opportunity to move around. Good perks such as 401k matching, pension, vacation days, free museum access, etc. There's a surprising amount of independance of how to solve problems here.

Cons

It can be beurocratic and slow-to-act. Management ability varies widly. Deutsche Bank's corporate culture, at least in the New York region, was to be cowboys - we were encouraged to do whatever possible to get the job done as soon as possible. Later, after the Bankers' Trust/Alex Brown acquisition there was too much process. Only now are we starting to get a good balance.
