Pros

The health and medical benefits are better than most financial companies.

Cons

The company culture is all about making a profit. Downsizing consistently occurs and management expects employees to cover the gap. However, when overwhelmed employees cannot cover the gap, no re-evaluation is considered. All this and little to no bonuses year after year.

Pros

Decent salary for working hours Good medical benefits

Cons

Too many to mention all but seriously the worst place to work at if you have to work under my department head. Department head has very clearly showed differential treatment to newcomers (young fresh graduates) opposed to the older workers. No bonus at all for the past years I'm working here. Pay has been constant all these while. Examples: New staff (just came in to work a week ago has given clearance for the next 2 weeks for leave) while existing staff has to plead her to approve our leave. Tone of talking to new staff VS old staff is very clear; very friendly and kind (even asking the young ladies out for desserts while old staff is treated like transparent, and having to do all the assigned work while the department head takes all of the new staff out). Department head has a pet that bootlicks and buys dessert after every lunch. This staff is always at D.H. table for chit chat session, laughing super loudly while older staff works like a slave for the company (and yet effort is never recognised because of the D.H). Her "pet-dog" is always also given simple tasks, while D.H. delegates all the other work to me, and yet this pet always complains she is busy). This makes work super unbearable, due to the unfair treatment.

Pros

1. Can be a good entry point in investment banking world. 2. Better pay than service based companies. 3. Flexibility of moving around projects after completion of 18 months. Though it depends on the Managers . If the manager does not want to leave you because your leaving would reduce his head count, then this point is invalid. And yes, this has happened. 4. Free Cabs 5. Good office in Magarpatta

Cons

The bank had hired a lot of dumb managers at high packages especially from other investment banks when it was setting up their in house centers in Pune. These guys enjoyed for almost two three years without any productivity and deliverables thereby eroding the technical skills of the people below them. A few of those have moved out or being removed , but the majority of them are still there at higher places. Technically the bank is not sound because of this in comparison to other banks and offers very less learning curve with lot of protocols and unnecessary processes. Also heard that they are also no longer good pay masters as they wasted a lot of the pay kitty on the higher ups. If the project is good then you can continue to stay else leave immediately as it will take long for things to change.
