Great place to work if you have good leadership in your org

Pros

I really enjoy the location along with the smaller groups of people I work with. Benefits are good, really strong PTO allowance each year. If you report to a good manager, then it's really a great place to work.

Cons

Overall leadeship is poor, feedback seems to go nowhere and good people end up leaving which puts even more pressure on people left behind. The RTO policy is horrible and the base pay seems to be lower then average. Choices being made are horrible from the start and take years to re-do which creates insane amounts of tech debt and legacy solutions you will need to fix at some point. Communicaiton between departments is also very hit or miss.

Pros

I have been blessed to have a great team culture as I have moved through the company. There are lots of opportunities for growth within the company or even lateral changes if you want to jump into a different career path within the bank.

Cons

The higher you go, the less training you will receive for your role. This doesn't have to be a con, but not all leaders are focused on the development of their employees enough to onboard you proactively.

Good career start and mid-level company. Growth limited in engineering after mid level.

Cons

Not a tech company, No RSUs except at Director or Distinguished and above.... and if you get a special award. Dreyfus scale is the worst.
