Pros

My immediate management was great. The work environment was pretty much mostly positive.

Cons

Not competitive in the wage they pat. Amex and Bank of America pay so much better.

Pros

Discover is great company that truly values their employees. They provide great health and financial benefits. They also have a wonderful headquarter office with nice services such as a gym, ATMs, dry cleaning, mail service and full cafeteria. They recently opened a satellite office in Downtown Chicago by the Merchandise Mart. Employees can work there a few days a week which really helps to alleviate the pains of commuting if you live in the city! There is a lot of opportunity to move positions within the company to get a wide range of skills and experience to help you grow your career.

Cons

With any large corporation, there tends to be a lot of red tape. Discover is no exception. There are a lot of approvals and compliance requirements that can make it difficult to get new ideas and projects approved. It also makes timelines for everyday projects longer.
