      Okay for some, terrible for others

      Pros

      Epic pays very well, and gives you a good amount of flexibility over which projects you decide to take on, outside of your customers.

      Cons

      However, if you get a bad customer, you are stuck with them, no matter what. Management simply does not care. Moreover, sometimes this leads to a situation of being extremely overworked.

      Good company, great morals, good work/life balance

      Pros

      Smaller company with good people and great morals.

      Cons

      Because it’s a smaller company they work their engineers to the max. This includes poor workload balancing, poor communication from management, and asking engineers to travel for 1-6 weeks at a time with less than 2 weeks of notice. Granted, it’s not the worst place to work. In fact, I’ve learned to really enjoy my job here, but some things could definitely improve.
