Cons

Just like any consulting firm, the hours are intense and demand of performance is always at an extreme level.

Pros

This firm brings great opportunity to all of those who are fortunate enough to work here. Great people allow for an abundance of learning and mentorship for those who seek it.

Cons

This type of work does not lend itself to the typical 'grind it out for two years and jump to industry' mentality that many young professionals who start at public accounting firms are looking for. The skill set an individual obtains by working in this service line lends itself rather specifically to IT and internal audit positions in the future. Someone looking for more of a jump start to a broad range of career opportunities should consider applying to audit or Business Advisor positions at EY.
