Pros

Strong professional growth and exposure EY provides excellent opportunities from a career and growth standpoint. The firm works with some of the biggest clients in the industry, especially in Risk Advisory. Its service line is one of the largest in this domain, and EY is a market leader in risk advisory services, giving employees valuable exposure to complex, high-impact projects. Supportive learning culture The culture at EY is highly supportive and encourages continuous learning. Whether it’s guidance from your team or structured training programs, there are ample opportunities to build strong fundamentals and develop expertise over time. Focus on extracurricular and holistic development EY actively promotes extracurricular activities such as events, group sessions, CSR initiatives, and employee engagement programs. These help you explore interests beyond work, build connections, and maintain a healthy work-life balance. Positive personal experience Overall, I am really enjoying my time at EY and the experience has been both professionally and personally rewarding.

Cons

Dynamic work intensity in a client-facing role Since EY operates in a client-facing environment, there are phases where workloads or working hours may extend slightly beyond the usual. However, this is generally cyclical in nature and balances out over time, making it a shared and manageable aspect across teams. Steep and evolving learning curve The nature of work often involves exposure to new projects and domains, which can result in a steep learning curve. While this is excellent for professional growth, it may be less suited for individuals who prefer highly routine or repetitive work, as the role demands adaptability and continuous upskilling.
