While hiring they look for GB or BB certified candidates, but after joining you will be forced to give DFSS exam with 80% marks as a passing criteria and complete 1 complex project then go through various rounds of assessment process on that project. Then finally the cerfication would be rewarded. Though you are an outstanding performer but If you don't do DFSS/DMAIC you won't be eligible for any promotion. And the irony is that post certification nobody brothers whether people are using their learning in other projects or not .... Hence it becomes a tick mark but mandatory thing if you want to grow in Eaton.
