Pros

Competitive benefits and pay. Flexible work: work from home, compressed work week, etc. Hard working, knowledgeable co-workers. Good technology and facilities. Cares about the employees. Future opportunities to grow and develop career. Values are in line with my personal values.

Cons

There are definitely changes going on as the company looks for efficiencies and cutting costs. I think they're making the right decisions though.

Pros

Good pay, great for reserve military personnel ( paid 40 hrs military leave, plus full pay if deployed)

Cons

Lots of extra duties, received more department's to manage, told no more supervisors will be hired on for extra workload. Basicly you do the 2 or 3 times the work or quit. Hire management will throw you under the bus due to their lack of skills and knowledge to save their skin. Was on call for all my departments, have to come in on days off. Have to give personal private cell phone for people to call in sick, they are not to call HR but you directly. High turn over for management, plant managers, HR, and other staff.

Pros

Can achieve a decent salary you if you work there a long time (compared to similar jobs elsewhere) but there have been many years where there have not been any rises or bonuses.

Cons

The emphasis seems to be purely about reports and figures and not about doing a proper job that enables those reports to be raised and figures to achieved. Absolutely everything has to be archived and recorded which means that you cannot focus on the important things that need to be done for customer satisfaction. Pressure is constant as there is never enough time or people to do those important jobs properly. They also move people around to different departments or positions regardless of whether that person wants to move or is qualified to do the job. Because of all of the above there is little job satisfaction and no job security any longer as the company seeks to cut costs by moving jobs and production abroad, closing down departments, amalgamating departments of different divisions or closing down offices, factories and warehouses. Middle-management are only there to service their own personal ambitions and many have little or no experience of front-line working. They spend most of their time in pointless, non-productive meetings or elongated conference calls.
