Eaton is a great company for employee development , promotional opportunities and they are very focused on employee welfare. Eaton has a good benefits package and compensation is fair. They have a good employee recognition program as well.

Cons

Some managers in key positions do not exhibit Eaton values and philosophies. They have a good program for employee development but do not always recognize how to best utilize the talent they have. They need to develop a compensation philosophy that includes a bonus program. Most of their competitors have a bonus program for all levels of employees. Eaton only has a bonus program for Sr Management.

It is a positive work environment, for the most part. The pay is highly competitive. There is some effort to adhere to ethical standards.

Cons

All the walls in the whole place are painted gray. blah! shoot me! All the cubicle walls are gray. shoot me! The doors are gray. shoot me! The display case is gray with gray shelves. shoot me! Thank goodness the cafeteria is not gray. The upper-management area is not gray. (??) It is unclear whether the company is interested in the 'image' of a company that is concerned about ethics, or if they are really concerned about ethics. I think they are really concerned about ethics, but some managers don't really get what it ought to mean to be concerned about ethics.
