Pros

Decent people to work with up to first level management. While pay only rates as average, if you were lucky enough to have qualified for the final salary pension, it makes the overall package quite attractive.

Cons

Drive for year on year cost savings have led to ever decreasing work force through both natural and forced attrition. Remaining workforce continue under increasing pressure, and little appreciation.

Pros

The environment the atmosphere and the office is great. Good compensation.

Cons

No strategies or plans, only ideas changed day to day. Hard to follow, no understanding in the leadership team can find yourself in the middle of conflicts with guidance to different directions. Professional knowledge is not recognized more important is to connections. Biggest chaos I have ever experienced. Everyone leads few get the work. No carrier opportunities. Culture, ethics values expressed a lot but not followed.

Pros

Plenty of challenges, diversity of work unlimited. Certain plants have better spirit than others. Eaton should not be judged by the Wisconsin plants, as they appear to be atypical due to a poorly completed integration effort. Salaried pay scale seems high for the area, but stress is too.

Cons

No work life balance, no recognition of extra effort, high turnover in management and hourly. Pay scale is deceiving, you are given raises and then in difficult times they are taken away plus some in a process called MULA, mandatory unpaid leave of absence. This requires you to give back One Week without pay, which normally equals the salary increase you just received. After 4 years if you look just at take home it appears that you make more than when you started. In realty when you get your W2 you are actually making less than when you started! Essentially losing pace with your peers.
