It's a great place to get a start and learn everything you can quickly.

Cons

With near constant mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations and layoffs are inevitable. You may survive a few, but eventually they will come after your position or site. Keep your resume and network up to date. Also, prepare to be compromised with few promotions, lackluster benefits, and mandatory unpaid leaves.

Good place to grow and learn.

Cons

It is black or white, which can brutal. Saw many great people that were loyal, loved their job and high performers get fired for faulting a policy. Zero tolerance, zero opportunity to learn. Examples that will make you wonder where is the "human" in their Human Respurces. Little work life balance and a huge double standard with regards to this topic.

Great pension for us formers old guys.

Cons

Management changes yearly and if they don't rotate out you are stuck with the bad apple. Over the last several years Eaton no longer listens to employees but to shareholders only. I was so glad I could hang on to retire and if I had to start over I would consider other options before Eaton.
