E-Mobility

Pros

- Pay - Relaxed environment - Cafeteria

Cons

- There is no expertise in e-mobility. Company has no expert engineering focus teams. Many people left the company due to lack of direction and even recent VP hires to save the E-mobility left. - Upper management is really incompetent. When I listen town-halls, it becomes really clear to me that these people have no idea in making money from top-notch engineering products. Projects start, a few months later change direction, a few months later get canceled, a few months later a new team is set up to start a new project. - Company mainly rely on India and a bit on China teams. The US team is almost non-existent right now. There is almost no labs, no teams, nothing in the center of E-Mobility at Southfield, MI. - Recently Eaton left core e-mobility products and laid off some engineering teams. The remaining money-earning products do not warrant a big group structure, so it was put under vehicle group again. This is clearly a failure on upper management, however they got promotion and but laid off engineering teams.

Unethical toxic business

Pros

The teams at lower levels are great people, and used to be a good company I was proud to work for.

Cons

Modern business? Everything. The company is rotten from top down, every person in a management role has clearly sold their soul. Under current CEO Craig Arnold the employee experience has rapidly declined. There is no leadership or accountability for the toxic workplace that is now Eaton. To get ahead you have to be willing to break all morals and ethics and knife anybody at any time. Leaders are both insecure and untrustworthy. Eaton preach ethics but the reality is it is all a smokescreen for all the dodgy behaviour of management throughout the business. Managers speak with an “I” atttitude, e.g. “I think this”, “I decided that”, etc. very unsafe and psychologically dangerous organisation. Management might as well be robots. If the shareholders knew what went on at site level they would be furious as management focus is on their own KPIs at the expense of everything else. Stay away from this company.
