Pros

Cons

Poor management, top to bottom Very shortsighted in their approach They like to fit you in your box, not much opportunity to move past hired position regardless of performance, experience, and education

Pros

Good pay and benefits. Mostly good people. Not all. I would only recommend this facility just for the pay, benefits and nothing else. If you are employed, it would be wise to keep to yourself and choose your friends very carefully. One more thing, don't get too cozy with HR, upper management and the amoral supervisors. They will claim to be your friend at some point. Remember, they are not.

Cons

Human Resources was a joke, didn't follow their own guidelines, and made it up as they went along. The good old boy system was alive and well at the facility. Department heads and supervisors were mediocre at best. Morale was always down. The true trouble markers and poor performers always got away with their antics. What employee on any assembly line in America surfs the internet and listen to music through their hidden headphones (which is a safety hazard) while working? The materials department management and structure was the most atrocious system imaginable. It was always frustrating to see poor performers get promoted, but it was norm their. No matter what, privilege will always be used to punish or promote at this facility.

Smoke and mirrors for a once great company

Pros

Passionate and motivated co-workers (for the most part), leadership and development opportunities, strong brand equity.

Cons

Lack of leadership and vision, driven by top line growth coupled with short sighted decisions and lack of empathy towards employees. The company does a great job selling itself during the interview process and I believe HR genuinely tries to implement meaningful programs to make it a better place to work but at the end of the day, monthly and quarterly sales numbers are #1 - no matter what the cost. After the Eaton acquisition, you heard almost daily how great an employer Eaton is to its employees, I never experienced that at this division.
