      Good company but with a few problems

      Pros

      Steady work, great benefits, good pay, and good work environment.

      Cons

      Before you can be employed at Edwards Lifesciences you have to go through a temp agency called Ultimate Staffing for at least 6-7 months, which was a real pain. There's also a problem with other departments holding up production by getting things messed up or not having components done on time so we get tied up a bit. And it feels like little growing room, we only get raises once a year and there's not really an upper position for my department.

      good culture, love the people, highly educated and professional

      not strategic thinkers, unorganized, not very good at planning, not good for mid level, minimal career growth for those not in engineering jobs, does not promote well from within

      Pros

      Good benefits and allowance. Heavily regulated company by FDA and other international agencies which can gain a lot of knowledge and experiences in this industry.

      Cons

      It's an extremely political environment, foster a culture of arrogance, incompetence and unfairness. It's not a place for a people who wants to learn and advance for future. Poor system integration leading poor information and lack of efficiency. Very US-centric, company has no idea about doing business in other regions. Limited room for advancement.
