Pros

I really like the products. There are some really good people.

Cons

It is very political with some people much more supported. People have learned that any information given from below a VP may be overridden. Lots of scape-coating by management blaming the middle levels. Information is not shared so it seems random even if it should not have been a surprise.

Pros

Benefits are very good, Company has a good name in the industry, excellent products

Cons

Compensation has been decreasing in the last couple of years. Company has not come through on meeting deadlines with some promises for product releases. Company seems to care less for their employees compared to previous years.

Pros

Edwards is a real progressive company in recent years after losing edges to competitors like Medtronics, StJude. The company willing to spend money for their employees to have fun (lunches, snacks, holiday parties) in many meetings. The company frequently invites doctors, clients, elected officials come over for big parties in the evenings. I have never seen company that has as many parties like EW.

Cons

The upper management really get lost when it comes to promoting people. They promoted the ones who did the least work & screamed the most. They left the unsung heros in the dust. Even when they promoted those ppl, they joined the bad gang of upper mgmnt. When things falling through the drain, these management looked for scape goats & scrapped the projects & forced out the scape goats. A lot of red tapes & accomplishments are excessively slow. Too many procecedures to deal with. Politics are very excessive here. If you want to survive here, shut your mouth.
