Pros

- Good company culture - Acceptable pay - Diversity - On site amenities

Cons

I haven't been at the company long, but I will share my thoughts and update the review as necessary. I believe these points are important for new employees to consider before joining. Your overall experience will be dependent on your department, business unit and superiors. Firstly, I have never worked at a company (I have worked at a variety: large, small, start-up, established, contract, etc.) that is this disorganized. The on-boarding process was a complete nightmare and frankly, the company should be embarrassed considering its size and reputation. I am in a high tech position, and getting access to computer equipment and software takes months. It is so bad that it has impacted important deadlines. Moreover, the company culture leans against work from home (WFH), which makes the working situation extremely inconvenient. The expectation is to work long hours to meet deadlines, including weekends yet, Edwards doesn't allow adequate equipment to work from home. They have restricted the number of monitors and other tools to keep people from working from home. I ended up buying my own dock and dual monitors for home to ensure I can get work completed before sudden or unexpected deadlines. On top of that, they don't even have enough seats or equipment in office for employees to work. How do you expect all ~5k employees return to the office (During a pandemic) when you don't even have enough seats for them? It is completely illogical. I was hired as 100% remote, and suddenly, superiors are asking employees to be prepared to return to the office. Edwards will lose talent because it will fail to be competitive in the market. It's 2021 and employees need flexibility. I expect the employer that hired me to trust that I will get the job done.

Pros

Amazing, life-saving products. Beautiful campus and amenities.

Cons

Today, we received an email from the CEO emphasizing the benefits of diversity and inclusion - specifically highlighting several initiatives supporting the African-American employees and community. Sadly, African-American representation in our leadership is extremely low. While we may be hiring "more Black graduates", I believe the support system and resultant retention is very poor, limiting African-American ascension within the corporation. Within our Supply Chain organization, it seems African-American representation is virtually non-existent with NO Black leaders. In fact, many of us witnessed one leader drive African-American leaders out of the company through inappropriate public belittling and marginalization. For the rest of us, it is difficult to believe that this leader fully appreciates the 'strength of diversity' or the power of an inclusive culture. I have hope that things will improve, but do not expect much change until I see the CEO and Executive Leadership Team take stronger action.

Pros

Great benefit, stable company, CC department has a startup feel, plenty of room to grow to get promotion.

Cons

The CC department is driven by upper management who don't seem to have technical knowledge. To make matter worse, they refuse to listen to the project manager and engineers. Super aggressive and unreasonable deadline was the written in stone, thus people were forced to cut corners, and many problems arose from this.
