Pros
The 10% discount card was handy to have and do miss it, though that said, I now don't feel compelled to spend all my hard earned cash there. The colleagues, right across the board, were what made staying for so many years bearable.
Cons
Poor management. Lack of communication. Night team not included in rewards/celebrations leaving them feeling unimportant despite the fact that they work so damn hard. Very rare to receive positive feedback, regardless of how much time and effort you'd put in... Nitpicking on the other hand seemed to come regularly. One to one reviews just never happened. Infact, I didn't even get a leaving interview. I felt like I'd given them 6 years of my life and they hadn't even noticed I'd gone. Would I recommend working there? No. It's OK if you're a university student just working seasonal for a bit of pocket money, but the wages are awful, (£9.65 an hour on nights), and there are very few opportunities to progress due to the fact that they've done away with most of the management now. Section leaders are paid £1 an hour more that regular colleagues but are expected to work longer hours and get a Hell of a lot of grief. The only thing that made the whole thing bearable were the friends I made during my time there.
