Pros
- great place to start career, lots of learning opportunities - work with a lot of very smart people - good work life balance, focuses on getting work done rather than time online - most managers really care about you as a person - has good relationships with clients - less “drinking the koolaid” than other similar firms
Cons
- most work is staff augmentation. You feel more like you work for your project than Accenture - promotions are a black box based on projects. Each manager has different expectations about what constitutes a promotion. Unfortunately comes down to favorites and budgets most of the time - your career is based on your project more than your own success. If you have to move projects it hurts your promotion timeline - not very much job satisfaction. Easy to coast under the radar - LLP leadership comes over and changes the structure without knowing the federal business - not great at identifying talent from within. Laying off lots of good people based on project funding but still are hiring for the same jobs. No bench on Federal is just an attempt to get rid of people but save face from directly laying them off - got rid of lots of small office benefits and events in favor of management bonuses and lunches - gave in to all demands of the current administration due to protecting stock price but still claims to be progressive
