Fine as a temporary job, wouldn't work here for more than a few months - Part Time Shipping and Receiving Associate Amazon Employee Review

Pros

The facility I was at was not nearly as bad as the common horror stories implied. Work was straight forward and area managers weren't as strict with us as you'd ex[ect, which was nice. Coworkers were pretty friendly. If you're a student that's bored during the summer and you don't want to work retail, this job will be your best bet.

Cons

If you're a remotely fit male or semi-fit female, you are pretty much guaranteed to be loading or unloading trucks for 80-90% of your shifts (which is the hardest work imo). This makes work a drag and makes it easy to burn out. There are days where I pretended to be injured during the pre-shift meeting so that I could have a break and have a slightly less difficult role for the day.

Pros

Really smart people, a lot of opportunity for growth, always encouraged to be innovative, think big, and create something new. Competitive salary and benefits with other major tech companies. 100% self motivating work environment. No dress code and 4 legged friends are welcome.

Cons

You have to be self motivated. NO ONE will hold your hand and tell you that you're doing a great job. If you need constant affirmations from management, this company isn't for you.
