Pros
Amazon is a giant company, but any employee I know shares the company leadership principles. This is the most important thing that makes Amazon peculiar in my opinion, and this is something I find extremely valuable.
Cons
Working in AWS can be very challenging for various reasons: it's a very fast moving environment, where very challenging problems are dealt with by very smart people. So you'll have to work very hard to keep the bar high!
