Pros
- Really Smart People - Tough and Challenging problems - Trying hard to improve inclusion and diversity - Very good salary - Lots of opportunities to transfer overseas and work on very interesting products
Cons
- Really difficult to balance work and life. Most people work > 50 hours per week and on-call can be brutal - Lots of meetings - Things move very slowly and features take months (sometimes years) to reach production - Not lots of time to write code. Lots of other responsibilities as there are no testers, IT Ops and business analysts. - Almost all tools are proprietary and built internally so no transfer of knowledge to other companies
