Pros
My managers have all been great, and are incentivized to help me grow and get promoted. Raises have been fair and consistent. Coworkers are really nice and talented. No shortage of important work that contributes to my promotion document. Work life balance is incredible. I work maybe 6 hours a day.
Cons
They try their best, but the company is so large that teams are highly specialized. Your team tends to focus on a very narrow slice of the customer experience, which can feel low impact. As I become more senior, I write less code and find myself spending a great deal of time managing stakeholders and gathering requirements. The optimist will see this as an opportunity for growth (building more efficient operational processes). The pessimist will see this as unproductive activity.
