As a new grad and young professional the career track was excellent and recognition was good. I was able to move up in the company fairly quickly over the course of the first 5 years I was at this employer

Found a role that fit my skills well for a group that was happy to keep me staffed on a more central consistent team. This worked very well at first, but over time realized that it became a trap. The role itself was through Accenture and this created a huge divide in daily work vs career recognition. My Avanade career lead lost all interest in me and my Accenture day to day leads claimed to be handcuffed on my career, and neither talked to each other. Advice to employees: None of this was malice, but the company is big enough that everyone can hide behind red tape and say there is nothing they can individually do about a situation. My advice is to not stay in one role more than a year or two until you are at a more senior level, and to pay close attention to the Avanade/Accenture divide on Career Recognition.
