Pros

Provides a clear education in workplace dynamics and self-preservation. Those who leave do so with sharper judgment and a realistic understanding of how influence operates beyond formal titles.

Cons

Within a specifIC group, morale is steadily eroded by a protected individual whose conduct consistently creates a hostile environment. Manipulative behavior, intimidation, and repeated bullying tactics are normalized rather than addressed. High performers tend to exit, while those who remain experience stagnation. Concerns are routinely reframed instead of resolved, enabled by leadership that observes without intervening. As long as this dynamic is tolerated, meaningful change is unlikely.

Pros

There actually are great people, but you play manager roulette.

Cons

BDO is notorious for promoting people who just never leave. The middle of the road, not great, not awful, people get promoted over and over again. There have been changes every 3 seconds since the ESOP. Terrible communication around change (non-existent). My manager's favorite term was "We are building the plane as we fly it". After 4 years, I was hoping to have more plane built. It was never built.
