      Pros

      Good manager can make your life happy while "bad" managers can lead to your life being miserable. Less politics if compare with other Big 4 as the team is not very big. Do expect an annual promotion. By the time you have serve the company for 4 years, the management expectation would be you are already ready for at least an assistant manager level.

      Cons

      Lack of employer's transparency and staff engagement is not there yet! Imbalance of the pay structure and poor allowances benefit.

      There actually are great people, but you play manager roulette.

      Cons

      BDO is notorious for promoting people who just never leave. The middle of the road, not great, not awful, people get promoted over and over again. There have been changes every 3 seconds since the ESOP. Terrible communication around change (non-existent). My manager's favorite term was "We are building the plane as we fly it". After 4 years, I was hoping to have more plane built. It was never built.
