      Pros

      Fellow staff, executive admins and partners were pleasant to work with. Calgary office focuses its resources on streamlining practices and having best practices templates, which is one of the best that I have seen.

      Cons

      Boys club at the manager level and be aware of the office politics. Low employee morale. Significant employee turnover rate in the Calgary office - of the announced departures, 55 staff members left BDO in an 18 month period. Lack of appreciation for employees - mindset is what more can you give to the company?

      There actually are great people, but you play manager roulette.

      Cons

      BDO is notorious for promoting people who just never leave. The middle of the road, not great, not awful, people get promoted over and over again. There have been changes every 3 seconds since the ESOP. Terrible communication around change (non-existent). My manager's favorite term was "We are building the plane as we fly it". After 4 years, I was hoping to have more plane built. It was never built.
