Pros
Work from home and that's about it.
Cons
For ambitious graduates, this environment is essentially a burnout factory. The role is highly transactional, often feeling more like 'firefighting' administrative errors than actual finance work. Systems are heavily outdated and most tasks can be automated with AI. Internal mobility is heavily marketed but rarely realized, with a rigid two-year 'waiting period' regardless of performance, IF you get lucky. Expect high-volume, repetitive coordination with disorganized offshore teams and a compensation package that doesn't align with the workload. Most of your colleagues won't come from a finance background, they won't even know the payoff structure of a vanilla option. Unless you are desperate for a foot in the door, I avoid this like the plague.
