Pros
Culture and benefits are the best part of BCN (not RDS). Learning opportunities and flexibility.
Cons
RDS Leadership (SB) and new hires on Lead/Sr. Specialist roles are inoperable. The leadership is not bothered much about people's concerns and month over month, we have seen a drastic fall in people management. They do not want you to succeed. They are good at delegating their work on your shoulders. They are happy to overburden the good employees. And the most surprising thing is that they are happy playing internal politics and setting up gossip sessions between themselves. Apparently, leaders talk in the team meeting motivating people that no one will ever stop them at Bain. However, it is just a saying. The same people will be the first ones to stop you, be it anything. Bootlicking the Sr. Manager and Team Lead (LM) will take you to decent appraisals and compensations and definitely part of their gossip gang. Sr. Manager trusts the Lead BLINDLY, instead of the team members. They have split personalities. They will show high concern for you, but it is a myth too (in the end they will do whatever they have decided, your inputs DO NOT MATTER). While people are on sick leave, they were more interested in knowing when will they join back or if they can push more to support other team members. Can you imagine the humanity that these leaders have? And when you try to escalate such issues to the sr. leadership in RDS, there is no confidentiality maintained. The heads discuss the concerns by highlighting your name and statements (as presented in one to one catchups). Soon the RDS hub team will be back to square 1. People will start putting up resignations. After all, Bain is not the last company. The only thing good about Bain/BCN (was) its learning opportunities for its people - although it is a myth. Everything comes with the TnCs defined by the dept leads. THEY ARE NOT SUPPORTIVE AT ALL. RDS Hub team will give you no learning if you are not ready to over commit.
