Pros

- Hybrid work structure (with the exception of end of months and quarters) - Personalities at the office, lots of friendly people from support, sales, order management, even executives - Affordable portfolio of products, great for sales people to drive the “value” play - 401k match up to 4% or 2500 annually - Decent benefits package Overall, the pros of Barracuda were mostly the people. If you’re able to connect with someone or a group of people, chances are you’ll feel very bonded with one and other. The workload is heavy and management is very demanding so your safe space will be with the colleagues you trust.

Cons

- No sick time, PTO is used in lieu of sick time so if you get sick, don’t plan a vacation unless you can make up those hours - Executives don’t keep transparency with company plans, go-to-market is a mess - Product management has lots of turnover, projects constantly get delayed, no improvement on efficacy, it is common for customers to express their concerns with products and false promises on road maps - Renewals management are suffocating. Managers are asking about your personal life and also sharing way too much about their own. Micromanagement is an understatement. - Churn is huge for this company, customers are forced into annual uplifts on renewals with nothing to show on the product development side to make those uplifts feasible. Customers have to openly state they will walk in order to get those waived and even then, only on larger deals will that have a chance to be approved - Unreasonable expectations for a workday. You can have back-to-back meetings with customers and partners but if your metrics aren’t up to par or if you aren’t a manager-favorite you will be called out - Renewals managers have very manipulative personalities. I’ve also witnessed managers take personal digs at subordinates and then pretend it was a joke to avoid a report, very unprofessional - Collaboration between renewals and field sales reps is abysmal. Everyone is looking out for themselves - Meals are catered once a week and if you’re not there early, it will be gone - No investment in employee growth. Very common to see reps from the Georgia office get promotions (good on you, GA managers) but rare to see it in Campbell. - Renewals reps are treated like children, it always feels like you’re being monitored, managers openly gossip about reps and others in the office Overall the cons far outweigh the pros at Barracuda. This is one of the most unprofessional organizations I have ever worked for. I have been advised to lie to customers, constantly getting negative feedback from partners, and often times there is inappropriate music being played either by managers or reps. One manager even comes into work with sports jerseys on and shorts on a daily basis. There is very little professionalism here. This is a work environment that feels like a high school, if you aren’t with the popular kids (in this case, management) they will find a reason to get you out. I’ve seen reps fired over expressing their concerns as well.

Pros

Work/Life Balance, Flexibility of schedule and a strong team feel amongst the SA Team.

Cons

Product functionality, vision of leadership team, stale solution set and very difficult to meet quota since you're covering 15+ AE's. You spend a lot of time trying to "save" customers vs. actively selling.
