Pros

nice place to start career with low salary. There is learning opportunity with bearing point. The collage freshers likes to work for Bearingpoint since most of the projects are travel intensive. I have seen people at bearingpoint who have started at the lowest level and in 10 years with company they reached to managing director level. Also, bearingpoint likes to hire collage fresh out since they demand less salary compared to the competitor. They are enthusiastic to drive their promising career at jet speed would be good fit. When one is on bench the company don't give them pick slip in 2-3 weeks. I have seen people sitting on bench for like 6-8 months and survive with BE.

Cons

The Leadership team is strangled with accounting mess. One after another they have accumulated so much liability that the BE is almost in 1Bn debt. The core accounting policies are very rigid. The Time and Expense recording software has wide variety of loopholes. The Performance review structure is very complex and complicated. One has to be master of all in order to get promoted or get salary raise. The company had to pay millions in fine to the government for not submitting year end sheet. That is all part of accounting mess. The leadership team does not have a vision.

Thank you for your review. You refer to a different company, namely BearingPoint Inc. Our company, BearingPoint headquartered in Europe, has been a separate legal entity and conducted a management buyout in 2009. Its development since then is very positive, see our Annual Report: https://www.bearingpoint.com/files/BearingPoint_Annual_Report_24.pdf

Pros

Good pay, good location, other employees are good to work with.

Cons

This organization is deeply mismanaged. The four U.S. partners are consistently at odds with one another and unable to collaborate, often dragging employees into their conflicts. The lead U.S. partner regularly makes inappropriate, sexist remarks, despite being a father to daughters, creating a hostile environment. Employees are encouraged to report issues to HR, but concerns are routinely dismissed, and no meaningful action is taken. Speaking up only puts a target on your back, several employees who voiced concerns were included in subsequent rounds of layoffs. The global leadership team is fully aware of the ongoing dysfunction, especially at the partner level, yet chooses to ignore it in favor of their own career advancement. This lack of accountability at every level makes for an incredibly toxic and demoralizing workplace.
