Work life balance good, especially if your good at your job more by working at home.
Cons
Good salary turns into a golden handcuff. Networking (or being someones pal) is the only way to progress internal jobs or promotion are never "interview" based if advertised at all. Managers with no professional experience - just decades in same company.....
