Pros
Working with clients on incredibly important issues, especially DEI and sustainability. Senior leadership is very clear about where they stand and is willing to change the business model of all BCG to reflect our values.
Cons
Outside of the consulting track, they use compensation as a negative reinforcement mechanism rather than to reward and recognize. Consultants are seen as high-potential and critical, and are taken care of. Non-consultants in enabling areas, despite our own huge contributions to the client cases and the bottom line, are treated like they are lucky to work at BCG and should be happy to receive the bare minimum for their work. The company champions mobility but allows toxic managers to prevent people from moving into the roles that are best for them.
