Pros
BCG is a super successful company full of whip-smart people, and they seem to truly uphold their ethical code. The pay is solid, and the benefits are outstanding. These are the things that drew me to BCG.
Cons
It is NOT for everyone. Know yourself. Do you enjoy being in a high-stress environment? Constantly responding to new problems and issues that arise the moment they happen? Working 10-hour days regularly? If the answer is no, don't take the job. The pay will not compensate for your unhappiness. Be aware that once an offer is issued, the team launches into "conversion mode" and reaches out with multiple excited emails and phone calls. They are genuine, sure - but the ultimate goal is for you to sign the offer. Not sure if the harder truths about working at BCG will ever come out during the conversion period.
