Pros

Great Colleagues: The best aspect of the job was the people I worked with, who were very supportive and hardworking. When I first joined, there was consistent encouragement for creativity and teamwork by leadership, which contributed to a positive and motivating work culture. Adapting to Change: A shift in company strategy required me to adapt to new ways of working and problem-solving, enhancing my ability to lead with curiosity, motivate change, and manage ambiguity.

Cons

Workplace Culture: The workplace environment was often dominated by masculine norms, values, and behaviors, leading to a lack of recognition for female leaders, especially those not in traditional roles. This created a culture where gender biases were prevalent, and female employees frequently had to navigate an environment that did not fully appreciate or value their unique strengths and perspectives.

Pros

The people I worked alongside were the best part of the job.

Cons

While my early experience was positive, my experience changed significantly over time. Communication and the application of workplace policies became less consistent, and the work environment felt increasingly micromanaged. Workplace changes and employee transitions were not always handled in a way that felt transparent or consistent. In my experience, compensation and annual raises did not keep pace with employee contributions or expectations. I also believe the company could do more to recognize and support long-term employees, especially during periods of change. It was a reminder that the end of an employee’s experience often reflects the culture just as much as the beginning.
