Pros

One of the best semiconductor companies to work for, but that isn't saying much. The others that I consider in the same league are Nvidia, Qualcomm, Apple, Cisco. Opportunity to work on cutting edge products with relatively fast product cycles. Varies greatly depending on the many different groups within Broadcom.

Cons

Low salary, hard work, getting more corporate, uneven work distribution, poor communication between management and engineering. Career path and goals are not defined. There is a lot of title inflation, so when you join, make sure you fight for the highest title.

Management is straightforward and execution-focused, though the pace can be demanding. Great for those who thrive in a high-performance environment.
