Pros

Broadcom pays its employees well and offers very good benefits in addition to 401K matching, stock grants, and a significant bonus if the company and its divisions do well. The CEO is very straight-forward; he says what he is going to do, and then does what he said. In addition, the company is doing well financially and the stock price continues to go up.

Cons

There are very few perks (other than the bonus and the stock grants), and the business units are under pressure to minimize costs. The company runs very lean, and the standard way of lowering costs is to eliminate jobs. A job with Broadcom is risky, but it pays well.
