Pros

No pros you can think of. Here Capgemini does not care about employees.

Here's the thing. I joined as a fresher salary was 3.15 LPA. Probation period 2.4 LPA for Six months from the date of joining. When you receive your joining letter they will send you to any location they select for training. They say it is According to "business requirements" which is complete disgusting. It's the CFMG and RMG teams job to allocate the fresher's properly. Clearly they don't take location preferences and send people to locations in "lots". I was from Pune there are 2 training centers in Pune. I was sent to Chennai. Chennai people were sent to Pune. People who got their joining after me were sent to Pune whose hometown was Bangalore , Chennai Hyderabad. They just don't care. 2) After they relocate you. You'll receive a cheap salary of 15620 p/m in which more than half will get spent on rent food etc. You'll be left with no money and have literally borrow from your parents. Trust me. 3) Management is reckless. You'll be put in to training of any technology they like. They won't care , won't take in consideration what technology you are experienced in. Theyll just throw you into any domain. Clear lack of Management is seen in every day you spend after Capgemini. 4) After training they'll put you on bench. Bench period can be for 3 months. You'll just sit on a chair doing nothing all day. In my case my training location was Chennai and after training I had to travel 90 kms daily to get to my bench location. Such Management is disgraceful. 5)Be on bench you'll be still getting mere 15620 salary. 6)After bench period you'll be sent to project location. Which are of course randomly allocated. They just don't want to work . CFMG team is the worst. Resource management people don't work. When you question why don't you consider preferences and manage your resources accordingly you'll receive a answer "According to business requirements" . These people lack common sense. There are options available, jobs available but these CFMG and RMG people are just don't want to work. They make their work easy by throwing people in 'batches'. 7) after relocation you'll be still on bench. I've seen 30_40 people on bench here. There are dedicated labs in Capgemini where only bench people are seated. Really!. People ranging from fresher's to seniors 30_40 people in each labs on bench! No work! . 8) After all this you'll be put on support jobs. They will not care what technology you are trained in. Believe me all the batches I know are on support. No development jobs. 9) No appraisal standards. Capgemini pays beggar salaries to it's employees and keeps 80% of the money for itself for expanding and luring clients. 10) if you don't want to destroy your career and life don't join Capgemini. Believe me. Small tier companies startups are way better than this french company. 11) salary increment is 500rs. That's laughable 12)I'm waiting for my 2 years to complete. 13)I've seen people from bca BSC background with no skills getting development jobs. CAPGEMINI IS IN INDIA BECAUSE HERE LABOUR IS CHEAP. PEOPLE ARE READY TO WORK FOR SMALL SALARY. THEY ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THIS. THATS WHY CAPGEMINIS MOST OF THE WORKFORCE IS IN INDIA. PEOPLE OUTSIDE INDIA ARE GETTING PAID WAY BETTER FOR THE SAME WORK WE DO HERE YOU GET $225 MONTHLY HERE THATS DAILY WAGE OF WORKER OUTSIDE INDIA.!!

Pros

Pretty flexible. It's cool if you get on a project with a good client, because honestly you will become like a low-class employee at that company who they all dont care about and expect you not to be around very long so if you can deal with that then you can try and have a good time with them.

Cons

Honestly can't believe the audacity and entitlement of the middle management at this place. For example, last year everybody got about 3% merit raises (not at all keeping up with inflation but still something). This year, they were working with the same pool of funds to work with for raises, but made a "business decision" to consolidate the raises to only management. The rest of us got nothing. And the TOLD us they kept everything for themselves. And in addition to that, they twisted the knife by COMPLAINING to the whole department on a department call that their bonuses weren't enough. Just tone-deaf and careless mostly.
