Pros

- Decent healthcare rates - Great reachback to Capgemini Global and Americas capabilities and personnel allows the company to compete with larger firms like Deloitte, Accenture, etc. - Most people at the company see this as a Pro: no visibility as to what people are doing so there is no accountability across the company which allows people to do hardly any work

Cons

Capgemini Government Solutions (the Government Contracting subsidiary of Capgemini) is hands down the most toxic place I've ever worked. Superiors across every level of the company up to the newly appointed CEO berate the staff, cuss you out, destroy morale, limit every resource imaginable, and give zero acknowledgment of any work, success, dedication, etc. all to create the worst day-to-day working environment you could imagine. - No career path whatsoever. You are hired for one job and they intend to use you as much as possible and wait for you to get burned out and leave before they would ever promote you, give you a raise, etc. - Personnel are often hired for one job and switched to another not long after they start. - No defined path for promotions, raises, or bonuses - 'Success' is purposely left undefined so they can continue to move the goalposts to allow them to never pay out full bonus amounts (if at all) or give promotions, raises, etc. - Fully expected to work multiple full-time positions without corresponding compensation due to the lack of resources across entire organization. - Resources are few and far between, leaving the same small group of people to do all the work. - Work/life balance is non-existent. You will work weeks and weeks with typical days ending around 2-3am due to lack of resources. - Few, if any proposal resources - Large percentage of personnel that work in the company are not familiar with Government Contracting Industry practices, standards, etc. - Absolutely zero acknowledgment of any sort of hard work, success, dedication, etc. In the year plus I worked here, I heard a true 'thank you' from any superior maybe 3 times. - Upper management firewalls themselves off of any responsibility, accountability, etc. 95% of all of the work done in the company is performed by Manager level and below. Senior Managers and up always find a way to push the work down to other levels. - HR is a MAJOR liability for the company. Purposefully leave investigations incomplete, argue with staff, try to withhold payouts when personnel leave the company, unable to perform simple HR tasks. Incredibly unprofessional.

Pros

Pretty flexible. It's cool if you get on a project with a good client, because honestly you will become like a low-class employee at that company who they all dont care about and expect you not to be around very long so if you can deal with that then you can try and have a good time with them.

Cons

Honestly can't believe the audacity and entitlement of the middle management at this place. For example, last year everybody got about 3% merit raises (not at all keeping up with inflation but still something). This year, they were working with the same pool of funds to work with for raises, but made a "business decision" to consolidate the raises to only management. The rest of us got nothing. And the TOLD us they kept everything for themselves. And in addition to that, they twisted the knife by COMPLAINING to the whole department on a department call that their bonuses weren't enough. Just tone-deaf and careless mostly.
