I worked at Avonmouth CDC. The attitude to H&S is appalling, in particular with COVID 19 issues. I was deliberately injured by an agency colleague, with witnesses, yet he suffered no sanctions. My injuries are life changing. Further, their so called rehabilitation of my condition was to put me on the heaviest physical jobs. They tried to sack me for under performance (eliminate the problem), but they couldn't even follow their own policies correctly and the Union saved me. Their training is woefully inadequate. The management appear to care of nothing but their statistics. I was given no opportunity for advancement either. Eventually I voluntarily left as my physical condition was deteriorating. There are also many abusive native colleagues who have worked there for years and seem to think they run the place. The eastern European colleagues and the overseas colleagues are the shining stars in the warehouse, civil and decent, and it was marvelous and an honour to know and work with them. I recommend you avoid this place unless you have no other choice.
