Pros

Pay is okay and can gain good experience in managment and in retail from it can be helpful for applying to other jobs

Cons

You never get the full 1hr breaks as a team leader or Customer Team Member, coop expect too much from the staff especially when some CTM's don't do the job they should be doing as thats the way its always been the £1.32 pay difference isn't worth it for the stress, lack of training, responsibility and for the amount you have to work to keep up with standards. Had 3 managers in 1 year the first 2 were either lazy or blatantley rude and both had lack of care for staff and expected too much from TL's and too little from CTM's. Holidays are difficult to book due to small mangment teams in most stores and 2 managment can't be off at the same and never seem to have time away from work without constant messages on teams groups and area managment don't care about store staff. You always feel like you can't call in sick and they usually hand out 16 hour contracts rather than guaranteeing hours they know they have because they need a member of managment on every shift. I wouldn't reccomend going for a TL position but a CTM position in certain stores can be very easy money to earn but lots of negatives still.

We understand that feeling like you're carrying more than your fair share of the workload can be incredibly stressful. It's important to us that all colleagues, including managers and customer team members contribute equally and feel supported in their roles. We believe that you should talk to your manager and explain how you are feeling so that better teamworking and accountabilities are clearer for everyone. Please make sure that you take the breaks you're entitled to and again, if there are concerns that you're not able to do this, raise this with your manager.

Pros

Team got on well, hours weren't particularly harsh (pay not particularly impressive either)

Cons

Overworked due to corporate ruthlessly cutting hours (while hiring more staff?), generally piling on more and more work to the store team without considering time constraints, absolutely no opportunity for advancement while a store manager is already there
