Pros

Good benefits like BKK cards, OTP and Erzsébet cards. Clean and well maintained office.

Cons

1 No good projects. All are call center like L1 support projects that offer little scope for career advancement. 2 The company's Indian offices have become flabby overtime with a large tranche of mediocre middle managers. Most of the company decisions come from there. These guys just know to talk fancy jargon and give speeches about strategy but have little or no competence implementing them. They are also extremely clannish and seem to protect and promote their own people. 3 Lazy junior HRs who are incompetent and do not care for the employees. 4 Onsite travel opportunities provided only for sycophants and yes men and not to people who actually work. 5 Useless people enter the company through referrals. Some of them are so bad that it surprises how they got past the HR screening. All in all, it is not recommended to stay in this company for more than 2 years. A good place to start if you are a fresher just out of college looking to make some money, but not good in the long run.

Pros

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Cons

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
