Pros

I have worked more then 2 years in this organization based on that I am giving this feedback Depends on your luck 10 out of 2 get. 1. Onsite 2.Promotion

Cons

1. Manager will give you 3rd or 4th rating(very bad rating) just with reason that he as to give rating to someone so he had given it to you. 2. In a team of 10 people 2 will get 3rd rating and 2 will get 4th rating and 4 will get 2nd rating and remaining 1 fellow will get 1st rating not because he was best in the team , I think you know how IT managers do it. 3.No onsite opportunities in many accounts. 4.Some of the groups in QE&A are totally manual people working in this groups have no skills so they can't get better opportunities outside so basically they became slaves in the organization. 5. Company don't pay government taxes and has to pay very big penalty which will come from less salary increment to employees and less incentives. 6.Managers are not transparent. 7.When you will change the project at the end of year may be due to ramp down or with your will while giving rating your new manager ofcourse will give you bad ratings(3rd or 4th) as you had have worked with him for very less time and others have worked more then a years and this is a fact. 8. No Internal bus Facilities they have closed it. 9. HR will not support you , they are very rude.

Pros

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Cons

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
