Pros

MAY B good fr experienced professionals! MAY B!!! they arrange various trainings! their logo is "what have u learnt today?" (read..." what have u learnt today that u Won't b able to apply in project! as hey, you wont ever get a project!) No prons for me atleast!

Cons

im really shocked that everyone is sharing good experiences abt dis company!! dis fooled me into joining cognizant! i joined as a fresher(i really had read most of d reviews b4 joining). starting from induction, evrything was worst! we wer not even given proper induction! training ws nt up to d mark! and worst of all- bench! they hav put me on a bench since a year! i havent got any experience...i havent even allocated a single project, i cant even switch....i feel like i have ruined my career even before it starts, by joining cognizant! when u ask abt proj, operations team will tell u abt market scenario, and even give u stupidity like "enjoy this period..once u r in proj, u wont get such free time" they ll train u in some technology and then even if dat technology doesnt have projs they ll nt release u frm dat domain...they ll keep u waiting fr infinite time! operations team & hr whatever is d worst! they wont communicate wid u at all! u wont even get a desk when on bench! very discouraging atmosphere!!! this is a pathetic company for freshers!! if u join ur entire career will b at stake and u will regret big time! only lazy persons who dont want anything out of their career and dont ever want to switch should join!

Pros

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Cons

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
