Service-based company and NOT a software engineering company You don't have any pressure to learn anything as you are working in a Glorified Call center You can enjoy your life like hell,You have good respect in Indian society who thinks that you are working in a software engineering company(Because Indian society does not know reality) You can learn the art of buttering, politics, social skills You will work in AC You will have ample time to prepare for the Government exam or other exams like gate etc

Except learning anything useful ,you will learn How to waste time of 9–10 hours completely everyday.Lot of employees in this company commute also, Which also takes 2 hours everyday because of the heavy traffic, so one can literally waste 13 hours everyday without doing anything. You wont learn anything about Software or Computer science or any thing related to career growth ,as you will be doing data entry ONLY in Some tools ,You are working in a GLORIFIED call centre. Pay is too …. low ,before 20 years a fresher in CTS was paid 3.2 L ,this is 2019 ,cost of everything has increased 5–10 times ,But still the same pay is given to fresher even now ie: 3.25 L Whatever you studied 4 years of engineering is completely useless ,as even a 7th standard english School Kid who knows to speak english and who just knows to type/operate through keyboard is enough for this company. If you think that you will be programming or implementing software through any latest technology in CTS ,God save you ,In reality CTS buys automation business tools from product based companies and all these employees of CTS do is to perform pure data entry in MS Excel and in these business tools .This is the only work which you will be doing until you retire .DO NOT GET DECEIVED ,No one knows here anything called programming ,Everything is ONLY related to data entry work. Even a clerk in railway station does the same data entry work but his life is secure .Frankly even a 5th standard Kid can do these works.Many CTS employees write this in their linkedin profile “Salesforce developer” They by writing such things are only cheating themselves and not any outsiders ,Whereas in reality ,CTS bought the business software tool from Salesforce ,which is sophisticatedly Built and then this software is used by CTS employees to perform Pure data entry . peers are super Toxic in CTS and the likes of CTS ,Except for very very few who are really aware of their career ,who work hard night after Office hours ,leave these companies within some couple of years either For higher studies or good government jobs or MS or some Good product based companies ,The rest 95% of the employees who work here dont know even what sorting (This is the basic A of Computer science)is ,and they call themselves as computer engineer to the society .Such people should understand that showing off themselves to the society that they are engineers ,is not going to harm anyone ,But they are themselves cheating their life . Peers are good at show offs in these companies and the rest who stay in these companies have to climb up the ladder only by doing politics ,Bootlicking of managers . If you work in these companies for 2–3 years you will start worrying about your Future ,if you are career conscious ,As you will understand that you added absolutely 0 value to your resume Many students who are studying CS or other engineering get placed in these companies ,and when asked ,why do you want to work in CTS??They say that after working in CTS for 2–3 years ,I will switch To Google,Facebook.This purely shows the ignorance of Indian engineering students .There is a atlantic ocean difference in Depth and width of Service based and product based companies .Real software engineering companies are Google,facebook.Microsoft,amazon etc etc etc where only the most skillfull Computer programming students are recruited ,And companies like CTS,TCS,HCL,Wipro are service based companies ,These companies are Glorified Call centres where these companies perform PURE DATA ENTRY MAINTAINENCE work for its clients at low pay .The experience of service based company is NOT AND NEVER taken as work experience for product based companies ,because computer programming and data entry is not one .ONLY the FORMER skill is considered as work experience for product based software companies ,Whereas the latter can be done by anyone who has 0 skill.I agree that there are few who though started their career in service based have shifted to product based .It was ONLY ONLY because these people had developed the the skills since from their college days but since they were from bad college CTS was a very very short back up for them or who worked hard after office hours sacrificing their sleep .The former can shift easily but the latter is VERY DIFFICULT . Proffesionalism is the worst here .Most of the employees simply show off as if they are working ,But each one is busy in different things like some wooing Girls,Some backbiting,some playing politics .Obviously other than developing your career ,You will learn all non sense things in life .Manager behaves as if he/she is God and for everything which you are doing you will be questioned ,You need to behave like a student obeying a strict teacher . Gmail,Facebook can be accessed only for 1 hour and after that ,these both will be blocked .There is a software installed in every system ,which monitors all whatever You are using the computer for. You need to stay mandatorily in Office for 9–9:30 Hours everyday whether you have work or not .So you will only end up wasting your time doing that data entry CTS takes even 1 year to call freshers ,You will be placed in 2015 ,But since they recruit like cattle ,they dont have that many training centres to accomodate all who got placed throughout India ,so you may be called even in march 2016 despite being a 2015 pass out .This is the biggest waste of time .Even google and facebook does not let wait Indian students for more than 5 months ,if students are selected for foreign locations ,But CTS shows off as if it is an engineering Company. In that one year of your stay at house, you will be doing some online materials called as “eugenics early engagement”, where you will be learning CS subjects and doing work on that . But SUCH THINGS ARE PURE BRAINWASH .This company knows well that if the reality of things which this company is doing ie data entry work is told before hand to freshers, then freshers will understand the truth, and most of them won't join this company which obviously will make CTS lose very low paid hordes of labour ,as freshers are ready to do any work for the lowest pay. All this online training until freshers get date of joining is a pure acting. DO NOT BE DECEIVED.These things are deliberately Given to Freshers until their Date of Joining ,To FOOL the freshers so that they dont know the reality. They train you for 3 months in computer related technologies which is big brainwash and eye wash .This 3 months of training is given to freshers so that freshers believe that after 3 months ,they are going to work in super cool software project whereas in reality ,what happens in freshers are put into bench for 2–5 months where they do absolutely Nothing and after this BENCH PERIOD ,You will be put only only in support and maintainence project which is nothing But pure data entry work which i have told above . Slave mentality exists in CTS ,you need to butter your manager and need to have a slave like attitude .Promotion is NOT Based on your technical skills ,who cares of that anyways??Not all managers might be so ,but MOST and MOST are like this only. Since these employees need to stay mandatorily 9 Hours inside office ,And since that data entry work will get completed in very few hours ,All these employees are Found most often in Office cafeteria often wasting time with each other talking about all garbage things like TV series,cinemas,dating ,But literally no one is career conscious .If you really love computer science and are career cosncious ,You will only feel like you have committed the biggest mistake of your life joining here.Remember A Lion cannot make friendship with pigs ,That is how you will feel every second .I know there are few who are super talented but such people leave very very soon and the probablity of finding one is very difficult. CTS does NOT pay for your transportation ,Though they provide you cabs ,it is PAID ,nothing is free in these kind of companies,Food is also NOT FREE. These Service based companies pay the lowest as You are nothing more than an english speaking clerks to them ,With that small pay ,You will only live a below average life ,and through you the apartment owner or the PG owners,The dhobis will become rich. You become heavily frustated after working in These kind of companies for a couple of hours and also Job security is 0 in Cognizant .They Hire and FIRE A LOT,only only people who are good at wrong things can sustain in CTS ,but not people with technical skills.Mid level people who had worked in this company for 7–8 years are easily fired citing dumb execuses like recession .This happened in 2017 .If you are a fresher please google “CTS LAYOFFS 2017”. The reality is since you will be doing data entry ,This simple work can be done even by a fresher ,so By firing you,You can be replaced by a fresh college engineering or arts graduate who is ready to do the same work at very Low pay ,and thus this toxic cycle continues. If you are a student who loves Computer programming and who loves algorithms and data structures ,This is MY SERIOUS AND KINDEST SUGGESTION to never ever ever join CTS .The peers here are garbage 95% of the case and if they find that you know a lot ,They will do everything to take you out of this company. This is the real and ugly and bitter truth. This company is NOT A SOFTWARE ENGINEERING COMPANY. IT IS A pure service-based company.No project here deals with algorithms, data structures or any computer technologies to develop a product as such things are only for Computer engineering companies and not for CTS like a glorified call centres.
